Painting & Decorating This Christmas

The festive season is just around the corner (for some it's already here). That means homes across the country are getting ready to welcome family and decorate their rooms.

Tradec Supplies is here for the ones that have left it to the last minute to decorate their homes, with some decorating ideas that will really wow any friends and family you have coming round (COVID depending of course).

Colour Palette

So first things first, what you want to do is decide on a colour palette that is consistent. Our advice is to pick a colour scheme which includes two/three colours and stick to this with your ornaments and decorations. This is to avoid any inconsistencies and creating a mismatched theme. Some of our favourite styles include;

FARROW & BALL

Matching your decorations with the same colour that is on your walls is a refined and stylish way to decorate your home during the festive period. This deep Rectory Red from Farrow & Ball creates a real statement.

Dusky greens, deep reds and gold finishes are a great way of creating a traditional Christmas scheme.

It's Not All About The Tree

The tree is obviously a focal point when it comes to Christmas decorations, but it is also good to think about other areas of your home you would like to bring to the fore. If you'd like to put a bit more focus on your fireplace, table, or another piece of furniture then be sure to keep it simple and consistent. We think wreaths are perfect for adding a bit more Christmas character to certain areas of your home, whilst keeping it simple.

Get Creative and Enjoy It

The most important part of Christmas is enjoying it with your family. Get creative wherever you can and if you do decide to listen to any of our tips, send us some pictures on Facebook of your decorating!

Cheers
